2000 Brass Band Summer School
Following the huge success of the 1999 Brass Band Summer School, the quiet Worcestershire town of Bromsgrove was host to 94 brass players from all over the United Kingdom and throughout Europe who took part in a week long residential course for brass band instrumentalists.
Delegates were separated into two bands, Hathaway and Shakespeare and throughout the week spent time working in sectional rehearsals and individual lessons preparing for the formal Friday concert held in Routh Hall in the grounds of Bromsgrove School. Repertoire rehearsed ranged from Philip Wilby's magnum opus 'The New Jerusalem' to Roy Newsome's fun tenor horn feature 'Hat-Trick'.

The Tutors Concert which put the spotlight on all the staff and the fabulous final concert which proved a big success with both audience and musicians.
